I’m a curious and practical person who likes understanding how things work. I usually end up trying to build, fix or improve them.
I live in Kuopio, Finland, with my family. My professional background has taken me from pharmacy and engineering to healthcare technology, software, product development and integrations, but work is only one part of who I am.
Outside work I like doing things with my hands and learning by trying. One of my biggest projects has been designing and building our family home. It involved everything from planning and coordinating the project to home automation, interior work and plenty of practical problem solving along the way.
I also play guitar, go to the gym, swim and have recently tried parkour. I enjoy hiking and spending time in the forest, but I’m equally happy experimenting in the kitchen. Sourdough baking has been a long-running interest, and lately I’ve been exploring different Asian and especially Chinese dishes.
Sourdough day: patience, small iterations, and a satisfying result. Over time it’s turned into a weekend tradition: I usually bake a new loaf almost every week for my family.
Learning by doing — testing flour, hydration, and timing until it clicks. One loaf stays with us at home, and the other goes to my in-laws, where we love spending time whenever we can.
A simple moment outdoors — with family, a calm lake, and time to slow down together. Finding peaceful campsites and spending time in nature has become a shared hobby for our family. It’s a great way to unwind and clear the mind.
Nature time with my son — these small shared moments matter most. This pond near a nature reserve, just a short walk from our home, has become one of our favorite places to return to together.

Sometimes owning a house means doing the unexpected. Keeping wiring neat and well-labeled brings peace of mind — it’s safer now and much easier to troubleshoot later.
Hands-on home maintenance — understanding how things work, labeling clearly, and keeping systems maintainable. I didn’t expect that after a few years you need to rebalance the underfloor heating flow rates to keep the temperature even throughout the house.
Detail work matters: planning stairs and safety with measurements, constraints, and usability in mind.
I didn’t expect to design the stairs in this much depth — including the basics of concrete specifications and reinforcement — because those details were missing from the original building plans. The drawing may look a bit like machine-design documentation, but that level of clarity helped me build it correctly and confidently.
Daily winter workouts — nature’s surprise included. Wind can pile snowdrifts over a meter high, and I’ve learned to treat it as a free workout (and a fun way to play in the snow with my son). Every winter I’m still amazed by how big our snow forts end up being.
Personal note
Outside work, I’m a hands-on builder with a practical streak. I play guitar, go to the gym, and I enjoy sourdough baking and cooking. Lately I’ve been exploring Chinese dishes and testing new recipes.
I also like projects where you have to learn by doing: I designed and built our home to fit my family’s needs. Beyond the delivered structural component and core building services, I took ownership of the automation, interior finishes, and many of the practical details with my partner.
How I learn
Like building a house, that long-term project reflects how I work professionally too: I’m comfortable stepping into new topics, breaking them into smaller parts, learning what matters first, and iterating until the result is reliable. I don’t assume I know everything upfront — I prefer to understand the constraints, ask good questions, and then move forward with steady progress.
Continuous Growth
I’m continuing to deepen my hands-on technical depth, especially around modern data platforms and AI/MLOps practices. My strongest value today is end-to-end delivery in real production environments, and I’m intentionally expanding the “data/AI framework” toolkit alongside that — through practical prototypes, focused learning, and collaboration with specialists. I lead safely in production while learning fast.
